A Brave Beginning: Sally & Molly’s Arizona Adoption Journey
When Sally, a driven and compassionate professional woman from Phoenix, Arizona, pictured her future, she always saw motherhood in it. But she didn’t want to wait for “Mr. Right” to begin the family she dreamed of. Adoption felt like the path she had been moving toward all along — a chance to open her heart and home to a child who needed her just as much as she needed them.
In late 2024, Sally officially began her adoption journey with Adoption Choices of Arizona. She soon matched with a birth mother who shared many of her interests. Their conversations flowed naturally, from outdoor adventures to their hopes for the future. Over time, they built a connection rooted in respect, understanding, and shared courage — a connection that would shape both of their lives.
The birth mother chose Adoption Choices because she felt truly supported, heard, and cared for. The agency ensured her practical needs were met and surrounded her with emotional support as she navigated one of the most difficult decisions of her life. Although she knew she wasn’t in a place to parent, she wanted her child to be deeply loved — and she felt that instantly with Sally.
In June 2025, baby Molly was born, and Sally held her daughter for the first time. The moment was emotional for both women — nervousness and excitement blending with gratitude for the unique bond they had formed. With help from Adoption Choices, they maintained regular, healthy communication through ChildConnect, honoring the relationship they had built while giving baby Molly a foundation of love from all sides.
Finalization is still ahead, but Sally already feels like her world has been reshaped in the best way. She and the birth mother continue to support one another, proud of the strength and compassion that guided them through this journey.
“Adoption gave us both what we needed — a sense of peace, a sense of purpose, and a connection we’ll carry into the future.”
